Bright Future's constitution 2020 Adjusted to comply with Covid 19 A QUALITY TODDLER LEARNING ENVIRONMENT It is our honor to be part of your child's first years. Every child has a unique personality, making an indelible impression on the people who are caring for him/her, enriching our lives in countless and subtle ways. Your little one will feel comfort and trust, knowing that we are here to meet all his/her needs. We will become aware of your little one's preferences, sensitive to their pace, and supportive of all their needs. Stimulation activities will be done on a daily basis. SMALL GROUPS By limiting the amount of toddlers per teacher, we ensure that each child's individual needs are met at all times. Your child will be able to stay with us at Bright Future Nursery School & Crèche up to the age of 6 to 7 years. The first few years of child's life are the formative years of childhood. They should be filled with love, play, fun and laughter. Nothing on earth is more precious than a smile on your child's face. You'd give your child the world if you could - but a happy and secure home, a day mother who enjoys giving her love and attention, clean and consistent care, a strong foundation, a well-rounded education and a positive self-esteem are an excellent start. That's exactly what your little one will receive from us at Bright Nursery School & crèche We understand the anxiety you feel about choosing a childcare provider. We also understand that you're wondering what your child is doing while you are at work. We realize that you'd like to share in all their special moments. At Bright Future Nursery School & Crèche we make the most of every precious moment with your child - all in a warm, nurturing and safe environment. Files All files will contain your child's work done during the term. Progress reports will be inside your child's file. All crafts will be going out on a Friday only. All work/files will remain at Bright future. WE OFFER A caring learning environment. Small classes Nutritious menu Qualified and experienced staff. CPR trained staff. Field trips - stopped due to Covid19 Extra murals every day, Monkey nastix, swimming, soccer, ballet, dance and many more - Stopped due to Covid19 Bakers and tuck shop- Stopped due to Covid19 REWARDS We use the following incentives: Gold stars and Certificates to acknowledge good work and behavior. Your child will have a rewards chart in their files. SCHOOL HOURS: 06h15 - 17h30 Breakfast is served until 08:30. We request that children arrive at school by no later than 08:00. . CLOTHES Each child should have a clearly marked school bag and an extra set of clean clothes and underwear for each day. Baby's must have the following on a daily basis, 8 nappies, wet wipes, face cloth, bum cream or Vaseline, bottles and milk. Tea will be provided by school. Potty train toddlers must have 4 nappies, 5 pairs of underwear, 5 pairs of pants. Unused nappies will remain in bags. For the winter months please add two extra pairs of shoes. Due to Covid 19 your school back must be sent to school on Monday morning containing your child's clothes and two plastic bags. You will then receive your child's bag back on Friday afternoon. All children wearing nappies must bring the bags on a daily basis. For formula bottles we will we using the schools water. BIRTHDAY No cakes/cupcakes will be allowed due to Covid19, Only factory sealed food items may be allowed, then to be disinfected before being handed out. OUTINGS All outings will be suspended due to Covid19 until further notice. HATS and MASK'S All children during the summer months must bring a hat to school on a daily basis. During the winter months we don't require hats. Mask's: All children under the age of three does not have to wear a mask, all children above the age of three years must either wear a mask or hat with a visor as per the Covid 19 regulations. Your child must have two of either of the above each day. Before entering the school premises your child is required to be wearing either of the above to be allowed entry. Please wash your child's mask or visor each day. SCHOOL ATTENDANCE It is extremely important that the children attend school regularly. We request that parent's inform us if the child is sick or notify the class teacher if they will be absent from school. WE HAVE AN OPEN DOOR POLICY Contact the school principal telephonically in order to make an appointment to discuss any ideas or problems. You will be screened upon arrival. Whatsapp/Google meet and Zoom are options to make contact as well. SICK CHILDREN A child with a runny 'yellow or green' nose, a bad cough, and a temperature, contagious illness or a child that feels sick is not allowed to attend school. A sick child needs a lot more care, and we are not equipped to take care of a sick child, especially with Covid 19 in our country. According to City Health Regulations, a sick child cannot remain at school and is best cared for at home. We would appreciate your prompt response to our call notifying you of your child's illness. Please notify the nursery school of any infectious diseases immediately. Your child will be placed outside the school premises in a quarantined area until he/she can be collected. MEDICATION All medication that your child needs administered must please be written in the medicine book and signed by the parent. No medicines will be administered without a parent's signature CLASS RULES,ALSO SEE SCHOOL RULES - SEE ANEXURE ON THE FEES AND FORMS PAGE. " Don't take things that don't belong to you " Keep your distance from one another " Cough and sneeze into your elbow " Sanitize your hands, teacher will assist you " Don't share any food items with your friends " Be kind to everyone " Listen to teachers " Don't break the toys and equipment " Don't use bad language " Don't bully your friends (verbally or physically) " Don't stand on tables and chairs ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT Due to Covid 19 this will be suspended until further notice
